### 🔥 What We’re Looking For
* 8+ years of experience across backend, platform, or data engineering
* **Strong Scala skills** — Scala is a must-have
* Strong JVM experience with Scala/Java
* Hands-on experience building **distributed microservices and event-driven systems**
* Production experience with **Kafka at scale**
* Experience with APIs — REST and/or event-driven interfaces
* Strong knowledge of **PostgreSQL, data modeling, and query optimization**
* Experience with **Spark and/or Databricks**
* Strong understanding of **Kubernetes and cloud-native platforms**
* Experience with technologies such as **KStreams, Flink, cats-effect, fs2, and Tapir** is highly desirable
* Proven experience driving technical design and architecture decisions
* Experience mentoring and growing engineers
### 🛠️ What You’ll Do
* Own end-to-end architecture across microservices, event-driven systems, and data platforms
* Build scalable, reliable, secure backend services and APIs
* Design and operate cloud-native infrastructure on Kubernetes
* Build and maintain Spark/Databricks data pipelines and products
* Drive event-driven architecture using Kafka and streaming technologies
* Establish engineering standards around testing, observability, CI/CD, and reliability
* Lead architecture/design reviews and create technical design documents
* Mentor engineers through code reviews, design sessions, and pairing
* Build strong observability with logs, metrics, tracing, alerting, and SLOs
* Drive safe CI/CD, rollback, and progressive delivery practices
