We’re looking for a PhD-level R&D Scientist to develop next-gen protection philosophies and algorithms for inverter-based resource (IBR) rich power systems — one of the most critical challenges in modern energy infrastructure.
🔦 What you’ll work on:
💠 Novel protection algorithms for converter-dominated, low-inertia grids
💠 Fault detection, fault location, and WAMPAC applications
💠EMT simulation using PSCAD, PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory
💠Hardware-in-loop (HIL) testing with RTDS / OPAL-RT
💠Patents, publications, and global collaborations
🎓 Ideal background:
✔ PhD in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems / Protection)
✔ Strong publication record in reputed journals/conferences
✔ Hands-on with power systems simulation platforms
✔ Familiarity with IEC 61850, GOOSE, SV, DNP3, PMU protocols
✔ Python / MATLAB / C++ scripting skills a plus
