Engineer – Mechanical Maintenance

Department: Plant Maintenance & Engineering
Job Location: Udham Singh Nagar (Uttarakhand)
Ctc: 6LPA to 7 LPA
Qualification: Diploma or B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (ME) / Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
Experience: 5 to 6 years of proven experience in manufacturing plant maintenance or SPM building.
 
Key Responsibilities
1. Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
·        Perform hands-on mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of tools, jigs, and fixtures.
·        Oversee the assembly, testing, and continuous upkeep of Special Purpose Machines (SPMs).
·        Execute periodic and preventive maintenance schedules for shop floor material handling equipment, trolleys, and storage bins to minimize downtime.
2. Plant Design & Engineering
·        Create, update, and modify precise engineering drawings and plant layouts using AutoCAD.
·        Optimize shop floor space and material flow based on layout designs.
3. Process Optimization & Efficiency
·        Conduct detailed time and motion studies to identify and eliminate production bottlenecks.
·        Implement line balancing and cycle time optimization strategies to enhance productivity.
·        Identify areas for process improvement to achieve headcount savings and reduce operational costs.
4. Quality & Compliance
·        Formulate and execute process validation and re-validation protocols.
·        Conduct process capability studies ((C_{p}) and (C_{pk})) to ensure manufacturing processes meet quality standards.
 
Technical Skills & Competencies
·        High proficiency in AutoCAD and plant layout planning.
·        Strong expertise in mechanical troubleshooting of jigs, fixtures, and customized machines.
·        Solid understanding of industrial engineering concepts (Time & Motion studies, Line Balancing).
·        Practical knowledge of quality validation frameworks and process capability metrics.
