Role Overview

We are seeking a Hardware Design Engineer with experience in power electronics product development. The role involves designing and validating hardware for AC-DC, DC-DC, and DC-AC conversion systems used in power supplies, battery charging systems, UPS, inverters, and motor drive applications. The candidate will be responsible for schematic design, simulation, testing, debugging, and product validation from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop power electronic circuits for AC-DC, DC-DC, and DC-AC conversion systems.
  • Develop hardware architectures for converters, inverters, battery chargers, UPS, and motor drive applications.
  • Perform component selection, derating analysis, thermal analysis, and reliability calculations.
  • Create schematics, BOMs, design documentation, and manufacturing support documents.
  • Design and validate analog, digital, mixed-signal, and gate driver circuits.
  • Perform simulation using MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, or equivalent tools.
  • Develop microcontroller-based control and interface circuits.
  • Conduct EMI/EMC design reviews, testing, and compliance validation.
  • Support PCB design reviews, layout verification, and prototype bring-up activities.
  • Execute hardware validation, worst-case analysis, and design verification testing.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues and perform root-cause analysis during development and production.
  • Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Power Electronics Engineering.
  • 4 6 years of hands-on experience in hardware design and development.
  • Experience in power conversion products such as SMPS, UPS, inverters, battery chargers, or motor drives.
  • Strong understanding of power electronics design principles and validation methodologies.
  • Experience supporting products from design through production release.
