About the job
Elegrow Technology Pvt. Ltd. (ETPL) is a fast-growing engineering and technology company based in Surat. We work on high-impact power, energy, and building management projects across India and international markets. We’re expanding our Power Systems team and need a seasoned engineer who can lead studies independently, deliver clean reports, and raise the technical bar for the team.
Position:Senior Power System Engineer
Experience: 5–8 Years Location:Surat, Gujarat (On-site / Hybrid)
Type:Full-Time, Permanent
Reporting To: Head of Engineering / Project Director
What You’ll Own:
🔹 Arc Flash Studies Conduct Arc Flash Hazard Analysis per IEEE 1584:2018 and IEC 61482 — from data collection and model building to incident energy calculations, arc flash boundary determination, PPE category recommendations, and labelling reports.
🔹 Protection Device Coordination Develop and validate time-current coordination for overcurrent relays (SEL, Schneider, ABB, Siemens), fuses, and CBs. Generate TCC curves, prepare relay setting calculations, and produce ETAP coordination reports ready for client and utility review.
🔹 Transient Stability Studies Model generation, load, and network dynamics in PSS/E or PSCAD. Analyse fault ride-through, voltage recovery, frequency excursions, and generator tripping scenarios. Support renewable energy integration and IPP grid connection applications.
🔹 Insulation Coordination Studies Perform insulation coordination for HV/EHV switchgear, transformers, and cable systems per IEC 60071-1/2 and IS standards. Determine LIWV, SIWV, and protective margin. Specify surge arresters and validate protection levels.
🔹 Grid Code Compliance Evaluate generation and substation projects against CEA Grid Code, IEGC, and relevant state SLDC technical requirements. Prepare compliance checklists, interconnection study packages, and support commissioning documentation.
🔹 Reporting & Client Engagement You will be the technical face on power system deliverables — writing, reviewing, and presenting study reports to clients, developers, and utilities. Reports should be technically sound, clearly structured, and defensible.
🔹 Team Leadership Review junior engineer outputs, guide modelling approach, catch errors before they reach the client, and build team capability over time.

✅ Experience with HV/MV systems — industrial, utility, or renewable sector preferred
✅ Ability to interpret SLD, protection philosophy documents, and relay manuals
✅ Clear, professional technical report writing (English)
